Feet Ministries of
Nepal:
In January
of the year 2000, while praying, Pastor Krishna had an encounter with
God of Israel concerning his life's purpose - why God called him and
what He wanted Krishna to do in His land. In 1995, he returned to his
homeland with the power of God, after completion of his Pastorship and
Discipleship training from the Kingdom Faith Bible College in London.
He shared his vision with some of his friends and fellow pastors and
to his surprise, they showed interest in supporting and praying for
him. Also, at that time, he met his wife, Pabitra, in a very miraculous
way. They prayed and fasted, and it was confirmed directly by the Holy
Spirit that they should start the fellowship with a handful of people.
While
he was fasting in prayer, God gave him a vision. In his vision, he saw
thousands of people running without sandals or shoes on their feet (naked
feet) and they were climbing the mountains with their bags. He started
to pray and asked the Lord, "Lord, what is the meaning of these feet?”
God reminded him of the verses Isaiah 52:7 and Romans 10:15: "How beautiful
upon the mountains are the FEET of those who bring good news of peace
and salvation." There are many districts in Nepal to which transportation
is not available. People are used to walking 3 to 10 days with naked
feet to travel from one village to another.
All Nepalese
Christians and missionaries are climbing the mountains up and down,
taking the gospel to people with naked feet who have never heard the
Good News of Jesus. Pastor Krishna found that his feet are for spreading
the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Nepal, just like other Nepalese Christians.
Now, his feet are busy for the gospel. For this reason, his ministry
is called "FEET MINISTRY OF NEPAL" (F.M. NEPAL)
Through the work of the Holy
Spirit, His Church is continuing to grow rapidly despite the Anti-Conversion
Law and other social pressure. There are many tribal and ethnic groups
in Nepal which have not yet heard the Gospel. Those groups have different
languages and culture. In view of these realities, it has been felt
necessary to mobilize the indigenous churches for mission and evangelism
so that the unreached groups may be reached through the native Christians.
However, there remains a lack of training and vision for mission and
evangelism with churches and the time has come to prepare and send missionaries
to every part of the country. In view of this reality, FM Nepal has
become a milestone for the advancement of God's Kingdom
BIBLE: We believe
the Bible is the inspired, infallible, trustworthy and authoritative
source of truth about God and His plan for us.
GOD: We believe
in God as a Trinity revealing Himself as one God in three persons: Father,
Son and the Holy Spirit.
SALVATION:
We believe that all people are sinners and can not be restored to fellowship
with God by any power of their own. We believe that the only way to
be reconciled with God is by faith in Christ and His work on the cross.
JESUS CHRIST:
We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the price for
our sins, that he was buried, and that He was raised from the dead on
the third day and ascended to the Father. We also believe in the eventual
return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
CHURCH: We
believe that the Church is the community of those who affirm these truths.
The church has been given two sacraments: baptism - a sign and seal
of God's promise to wash and renew us, and the Lord's Supper - a sign
and seal of Jesus' suffering for us, and our new life in Him. We find
faith beautifully expressed in the words of John 3:16, "For God
so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes
in Him shall not perish but have eternal Life.
